The conference will be held in the main building of Aalto University Otaniemi campus (street address Otakaari 1). The campus is based in Espoo, 10 km from the city center of Helsinki. More information about the venue can be found here.

The campus is located at the distance of 25 km from Helsinki international airport, which serves 200 daily direct flights to cities in Europe, North America and Asia.

Several bus lines run between Otaniemi and Helsinki. These can be divided into two groups depending on their route. The southern route starts from the Kamppi shopping center and bus terminal (trip takes 15-20 minutes) and the northern route from Eliel Square (Elielinaukio), right next to the Railway station (trip takes 25 minutes). The distance between Kamppi and Eliel is only 500 meters.

Buses 102, 102T, 103 and 103T start from Kamppi platforms 41 and 42 and the recommended stop for Otaniemi is “Alvar Aallon puisto”, E2224. Buses 194 and 195 start from Eliel Square platform 36 and the nearest stop is “Kemisti”, E2225.

From Tapiola you can get to Otaniemi by buses 2, 4, 10, 15, 194, 195, 505, 510.

Transportation card is included into registration fee and is valid for the entire region (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, also airport) during 25.7. – 31.7. for all means of transport (buses, metro, commuter trains, trams, Suomenlinna ferry). To get to the conference venue for the first time we recommend buying a one-way ticket from a ticket machine (available in both, Kamppi and Eliel, cost 5 €). Tickets can be bought at the driver, too. When travelling from Helsinki to Espoo you will need a regional ticket because you are traveling between cities. This also applies when traveling from/to the airport.
