The ICDS-2015 organization can provide a limited amount of travel support to young attendees (PhD students, post-docs) who are presenting their research at the conference. The deadline for applications is April 30, and the results will be communicated to the applicants on May 15. In order to apply for the travel support, the following 5 pdf files need to submitted to icds2015(at)aalto.fi (subject header: “Travel support”):
(1) CV of the applicant specifying the career stage,
(2) full publication list with 3 most important publications highlighted,
(3) title of the accepted presentation at ICDS-2015 and a short description of research interests, (4) planned travel budget and amount of funding applied for (incl. identification of other available funds), and
(5) recommendation letter from supervisor or advisor.

A number of travel awards has been made available by the Materials Computation Center (UIUC) for Young scientists working on computational materials science in U.S. See here for details on eligibility rules and the application process. The deadline for applications is March 31.
